pomme de terre

The barcode 3000012027047 is associated with "pomme de terre" (French for "potato"), but there are some inconsistencies and limitations in publicly available data regarding this specific GTIN (Global Trade Item Number). Here’s what can be inferred:

Key Details:

1. Brand/Manufacturer:

   • The barcode prefix 300001 is linked to Carrefour, a major European retailer. This suggests the product is likely sold under Carrefour’s private-label brand (often called "Carrefour" or "Carrefour Bio" for organic variants).
   • The full barcode structure (3000012027047) aligns with Carrefour’s GTIN allocation for fresh produce, including potatoes.

2. Product Type:

   • "Pomme de terre" typically refers to potatoes, but the exact variety (e.g., Russet, Red, Fingerling) is not specified in the barcode data. Carrefour often sells potatoes in bulk or pre-packaged forms (e.g., 1 kg bags).
   • The barcode does not distinguish between organic (bio) or conventional potatoes. If organic, it might be labeled as "Carrefour Bio" or similar.

3. Origin:

   • Carrefour sources potatoes from various European countries (e.g., France, Netherlands, Poland, Spain) depending on seasonality and supply chains. The barcode alone does not reveal the exact origin, but Carrefour’s labeling often includes country-of-origin information on packaging.

4. Packaging:

   • Common packaging for Carrefour potatoes includes:
     • Net bags (mesh or plastic) for loose potatoes.
     • Pre-washed or organic varieties may have different packaging (e.g., sealed bags).
   • The barcode does not indicate packaging specifics.
